| 概要 | Scheduling is vital for goal pursuit, and individual differences in how people schedule tasks—known as scheduling styles—are linked to self-control. This study developed a Japanese version of the Task Scheduling Questionnaire (TSQ) to measure two scheduling styles: clock-time (time-based) and event-time (progress-based). Studies 1 and 2 confirmed the reliability and validity of the Japanese TSQ through surveys of university and high school students. Study 3 found that the event-time style was positively related to academic engagement, learning behaviors, and performance among university students, while the clock-time style showed no such associations. The study also discusses limitations and implications for understanding how scheduling styles affect goal pursuit. |
