| 概要 | To improve drought tolerance of potato crop, improvement of root system is one of the most promising way. On this purpose, Konyu varietis with large root mass was developed (Iwama, 2008). In this paper, we present the 3-year yield performance of Konyu-1, -2, and -4, and the check cultivar Konafubuki on irrigated and droughted fields. Subsequently, we analyse the aboveground characteristics that determine the difference in tuber yield potential. Finally, we discuss how to successfully combine high yield potential and drought tolerance in potato. |
