概要 | This study enables Japanese middle school students to gain a multifaceted viewpoint on energy by making them aware of its flow by conducting classes where groups of students built energy conversion devices. Subsequently, the students evaluated the classes. Results suggest the following: 1) Since one round of practical application cannot produce sufficient conceptual transformation, sustained application is needed. 2) Since their feeling of achievement from the activities might vary according to the amount of knowledge of each student, learning subjects that are not dependent on the amount of knowledge possessed by students is necessary. 3) Practical training where students make batteries or analyze commercially available ones by themselves enables them to gain in-depth knowledge. |
