概要 Energy plays a principal role in scientific concepts and plays in explaining phenomena across grade levels. In Japan, teachers are expected to understand individual students' perceptions of scientific concepts. We developed a lesson plan explaining the relation between these bacteria and energy. After the lesson plan was implemented, the number of students who associated bacteria with energy increased. Thus, the lesson plan was able to overcome deficiencies in students' understanding of energy. On this basis, it can be claimed that the lesson plan was effective in overcoming deficiencies in students' understanding of energy.
