| 概要 | In order to address icing on ships, we develop sea spray meters, the sea spray particle counter (SPC) and the marine rain gauge type spray gauge (MRS), for measuring the spray particles and the amount of spray. The laboratory tests indicate that the amount of spray obtained by the MRS is close to the amount of spray obtained by the SPC. We conducted observations of the seawater spray on icebreaker Shirase. The results show that the MRS can be used to measure the amount of seawater spray, and the SPC is useful to analyze the particle size distribution of spray. |
