概要 | This case study attempts to quantitatively identify preservice teacher classroom verbal interactions found in the small-sized corpus of six participants teaching at middle schools in Japan. We annotated their classroom utterances with speaker-turn tags, language-use tags s, and Mix. Our study indicates that (1) preservice teachers are more inclined to use L1, and therefore, (2) they need to be trained to use more L2 and/or Mix speech in the classroom interactions. |
